I am so excited to announce that our Stone Textile prints will now be sold at Spruce Upholstery and Fabric!  Spruce is a modern upholstery shop located in Austin.  I have been bringing clients in for the past year and have never had a bad experience.  The girls are so nice and helpful.  Amanda, the founder, has a monthly column on the very popular blog, Design Sponge .  See her latest “upholstery how to” post here.

Stone Textile At Home…

I love how Kelly Framel, from the fashion and lifestyle blog The Glamourai, styled her Metallic Middle Pillow.  The netting detail, on the pillow, works very well with her  metallic accessories and collectables.  Check out her beautiful site that just went through a very cool re-design.

PS. Since The Metallic Middle Pillow has been such a favorite, we have decided to do another one in a new colorway for Spring/Summer!   The sample looks great and we cannot wait to share it with you.  Check back soon for updates on our mini-collection that will come out in early May…

The ACE Hotel…

When we lived in LA we loved taking the 2 hour drive to Palm Springs.  Staying at the ACE hotel was our favorite spot.   The decor is great.  The rooms are very minimalist mixed with beautiful vintage pieces.  The hotel has four locations:  Palm Springs, New York, Portland, and Seattle.  Each one stays true to the ACE aesthetic but incorporates little pieces of the  culture and city surrounding it. Below are some photos of the three locations I have been to.

Love these rooms….Sharon Taylor Designs

I really love how, interior designer, Sharon Taylor works in pops of color with neutral backdrops and furniture.  If you have not noticed I have a slight obsession with blacks, grays, and neutral tones.  Using bright colors in design is something I am slowly working on and hope to incorporate in my next collection.  Sharon proves that using bright colors once in a while is not so bad after all…

Pillows + Art + Blogshop

This past weekend I attended Blogshop.  I was able to learn more about photoshop and improve my skills from two very talented girls, Bri from Design Love Fest  and Angela from Angela and Ithyle.  I highly recommend the class.  They did such a great job and it was such a great experience.  One of my favorite new skills is graphic animation which is shown above using a few Stone Textile pillows.

This amazing sofa is from  Jayson Home in Chicago.

I also took Emily’s advice and went on the 20×200 site she recommended here.  I love this art by Todd McLellan.

Stone Textile Launch Party

Last Tuesday night was so special.  I was surrounded by my friends and family and finally got to show them all of the Stone Textile products in person.  We held the party at the James Hotel Chicago (my home town).  Their Club room was the perfect spot.  We set up a living room area, a dining area, and a product area.  Take a look at the photos below to get a better feel for the party.  Thank you to everyone who helped make this night possible and to everyone that stopped by.  It was amazing!

Thank you to Samantha Kaplan Photography for the photos.
