Inspired By: Geometric Shapes + Celine S14

Oh Celine.   When I saw the image below, while reading / looking at pictures, in Elle Magazine I was so drawn to the shape of this bag.  I then took a look at the whole Celine Summer 2014 accessories collection and was blown away.  Here are a few favorites…

Below, are a few Stone Textile pillows that were inspired by some of the geometric shapes I saw hidden within the buildings in Hong Kong last year….The acrylic shape sconces are new by Apparatus Studio, how cool?

Fashion + Furniture: The Novis S14 Collection

After looking at a lot of the NYFW shows online….a few really stuck out.  The second collection by Novis NYC was one of them.  I loved how designer Jordana Warmflash chose to pair her whimsical vintage inspired fashions with the classic Eames chair during her S14 presentation.  Her collection was inspired by mid-century modern furniture + geometric architecture….something that I can really relate to!  I really love this fashion + furniture mix, here are a few favorite looks…

Inspired By: Rosie Assoulin

I just love Rosie Assoulin’s design aesthetic.  She has a very unique way of working with  fabrics and the silhouettes are beautiful.  How cool is the stripe top featured above?  With fashion week on my mind here are a few of my favorite Rosie Assoulin looks from her debut collection (above) and her recent second collection that showed at NYFW a few days ago.  This new line is actually sold at Forty Five Ten along with Stone Textile!

Rosie Assoulin worn by The Man Repeller in NYC during fashion week. The drape on this piece is amazing.

Twins No. 4

Stone Textile_Rag + Bone 1

Yesterday, our sales rep sent over this image from the Rag & Bone Fall line. We both immediately thought of the Stone Textile Tweed Pillow Collection!  TWINS.  We also both love the Rag & Bone brand.  We have always been inspired by their classic yet edgy style.  Here are a few favorites–past and present.

Dogs + Design

Elizabeth Mollen of Stone Textile Studio Favorite Room 6/15/13

Sometimes the outtakes from photo-shoots become unexpected favorites.  The image above of our dog, Toby, is pretty amazing.  When we were finished shooting on Saturday Amy, who is a genius behind the lense, captured such a special moment.  Is it weird that he matches our home decor and the Stone Textile website?  Pretty funny how that turned out.  Below are some other dog + design pairings that I love…

Color Campaign / Kit This

stone textile fargerike campaign

I love the mix of fashion and interior products in this color campaign styled by Kit This.  I had the pleasure of meeting Arlene Matthews and Brandon Frein last Summer at the Rue Magazine party in Dallas.  I was thrilled when these talented ladies reached out to us for their recent trend shoot for a design magazine in Norway (FYI their color of the moment is actually Purple and not Emerald).  Such a great mix and use of  the color!

Love This Store / Lane Crawford Hong Kong

Lane-Crawford_1It is good to be back!  What a trip! (See instragram if you haven’t gotten sick of me by now).  Now back to reality.  Luckily, part of my reality involves sharing inspiring images with you.  Walking through Lane Crawford  was magical.  I have been wanting to see it in person for a while now and when my friend, Dana (a HK regular!) told me that I would love it I knew that it had to make the trip itinerary.  The merchandising is beyond and the bold geometric decor  is quite amazing  (think Barney’s on steroids).  I could not take photos in the store (did not want to get into a Broke Down Palace situation…) so I pulled from their website.  Enjoy…
