Design Detail / Brass Accents

Yesterday, my friend Emily from Magpie Fields, showed me some pretty amazing Milo Baughman vintage chairs that she re-worked+ reupholstered  (they will be added to her shop soon).  Hers have beautiful brass like details and it got me thinking about all of the chairs I have pinned recently.  All have brass details!   Here are some favorites…

Side Note:  To our Austin friends…Emily and I are having a Pop-Up shop at Austin’s Mockingbird Domestics during SXSW!  Her vintage finds paired with my modern designs…details to come!

Modern Ping Pong…

Hello amazing ping-pong table….Now this is a ping-pong table that I would be okay with in a non-garage/basement situation.  It is gorgeous!  Fashion editor turned interior designer, Michelle Morgan Harrison, went above and beyond to fill her client’s request of a room to house one of a kind ping pong table.  Take a look at the rest of  her beautiful Greenwich project here.  More modern ping pong tables below…

Design Detail: Outdoor Lounges

Well, our Austin house hunt has officially begun.  Very exciting!  Finally having a nice backyard is something that is on both of our lists (living in an apartment with a dog is not fun).   I have always loved the look of an outdoor lounge space and have been collecting a bunch of images here.  How cool is that bed pictured above?   The B+W fabric panels are amazing.  Speaking of fabric, we are in the process of creating a few outdoor friendly prints.  There have been a lot of requests and we are working on it, stay tuned!  When the time comes, I think the outdoor version of this will be pretty cool for our future space… More favorites below…

I love the outdoor furniture in both of these images and how great is that fireplace?

You can never have too many pillows…

Store In Style…

One of my many New Year’s resolutions is to be more consistent with my vitamin regimen.   I may or may not be fast approaching one of those “scary” birthdays so it is time to make some healthy decisions.  I have always kept my vitamins hidden away in a kitchen cabinet.  This is why I only manage to take them 2 -3 times a week.  Not good.  I decided that they need to be visible.  Vitamin containers are not very aesthetically pleasing so, I got a little crafty.  Ikea sells these affordable glass jars in the market section and they are the perfect solution (pictured below in my own kitchen). Now, let’s see if it works…xx Elizabeth

Design Detail // Get Cozy

It is almost that time.  Time to relax (for more then 10 minutes), sit by the fire (we don’t have a fireplace), and curl up on the couch with a bunch of pillows (for the last few months our couch has been empty because our puppy likes to eat pillows, working on that one).  All kidding aside…..I am really looking forward to a much needed break!  To get in the relaxation mode  I have featured some of my favorite cozy corners above…
