Packing for Asia + Featured on Domaine Home

Asia-Packing-List_Stone-TexWe are leaving Saturday for Asia! I really needed to be strategic while packing for this trip (I usually overpack)  since we will be visiting a lot of cities.  If you have been to Hong Kong, Cambodia, Chang Mai, Phuket, or Bangkok please let me know your favorite spots!

The Goods:  Camera:  Yes, I will be lugging my good camera around.  Keychain:  Symbolic since we will be riding elephants in Thailand!  Luxe Guides:  For insider tips and hot spots.  Makeup Bag:  Cute for travel sized products.  Sunglasses: Love the shape.  Sketch Book: I have a feeling that I will be very inspired by this trip…  Diary: We always like to keep a travel Diary, started doing it on our honeymoon.  Stone Textile Throw:  Yes, this is happening for the 14 hour flight (it’s only 2.45 pounds! and rolls up nicely)  Sleep Mask:  Also for the plane, I will be pretty much covered in stripes.  Headphones:  Splurged on a good pair, the Ipod ones are so uncomfortable!  Large Travel Bag:  For all of this stuff to go in…

Speaking of the B+W Striped Throw Blanket…We were thrilled to see it featured on Domaine Home as one of their “TOP TEN” lightweight throws….Even cooler?  They are “huge fans” of Stone Textile…feeling is mutual! Thank you Domaine!

CL_Neon-Accents_Stone-TextiI fell in love with the image above last week (fabulously dressed lady + amazing geometric pendant).  It got me thinking about bright neon accents… So, here are a few favorites for Spring!

How perfect is this color block clock?

The fabulous lady pictured above is NY based film producer Allison Serofim.  She was attending an art gala at ABC Carpet and Home when someone captured this amazing shot of her and this neon pendant.  I mean, what a match!

This Mark Rothko painting has always been a favorite of mine.

A  bright decorative box is the perfect accent for a coffee table.

The shape of this bag is great and the colors are very Springy.

Equipment blouses are my favorite.  Classic + cool, the perfect weight for Spring.

What a fun accent chair!

The Stone Textile Woven V Pillow will be offered in fuchsia very soon…

I am a tray hoarder so this one is now on my wishlist!

Must Watch: Makers

The women that paved they way… Part one of this highly anticipated documentary is out and if you are a you must watch!  The strong women featured in this film inspire me and if it were not for them I would not be able to do what I do (and love what I do) today.

Currently Loving…Valentine’s Day Edition

Any last minute gifters out there?  Guilty! The gift I ordered for my husband will arrive tomorrow.  Time to get creative…here are some ideas:

1.  Dana Rebecca Bar Rings:  Jewelry is always a good idea.  You will have to pay for overnight shipping but, they are worth it!  I was lucky enough to grab a few when I was in Chicago this past weekend.

2. Being old fashioned is a nice change of pace….write a love note on some cool stationary or make your own.

3. Malin + Goetz candles are my favorite and I have always had a thing for the packaging.

4.  Splurge on a Fornasetti tray, this design is perfect for Valentine’s Day

5. Printsa-gram:  A genius idea. Get your instagram pictures made into a calendar (check out their site as they do a bunch of other things as well).  Yours will be a little late hence the Feb 16…

6. Make a fort.  I know that we are not 5 anymore but, could be a fun idea.  Especially if it is as cool looking at this one.

7.  Over the whole gift giving thing?  Open a nice bottle of wine and spend some quality time together (with no phones).  I love these metallic wine glasses from Zara Home.

Cool Product // The Art-O-Mat

Old cigarette vending machines converted into “vend-art” machines?  Very cool.   There are currently 100 of these retro beauties throughout the country and Austin has two of them.  I saw one in person, at Mercury Design Studio, and thought the concept was genious.  Learn more about The Art-O-Mat here

Enjoy the weekend!  Xx, Elizabeth

Home Stores…

We would love to hear from you…where do you love to shop (not online) for your home accessories?  Are there any must see modern home boutiques in your home town?  We are looking throughout the US and Canada so all cities are welcome!   Thank you!

PS.  I still make my to-do lists on paper (very old fashioned).  Maybe this python notepad should be involved… Xx Elizabeth

I am so looking forward to our little stay-cation this weekend.  We have been traveling so much and it will be nice to take some time off and relax.  Here is what will be involved…

The Goods:

Even though it is in the 70′s in Austin we will still pretend that it is winter and have some candles lit throughout the house, I love collecting decorative match boxes.

Spiked hot chocolate will be made and served  in these mugs. How great is  this vintage brass pot?

I love the cozy look of this ombre sheepskin rug.

I will catch up on 3 books that I have yet to finish, only wish they looked as cool as these.

This sweater looks so comfortable, perfect for a stay-cation.

Even your slippers should be stylish…

We will finally watch this and see what the excitement is all about…

Stone Textile Bamboo Throws + Floor Pillows will be involved of course…

Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
