At the beginning of the month, our Austin home was featured in Lonny Magazine’s October makeover issue. The kitchen was in bad shape when we purchased our house last year. We were dealing with lime green walls, dated cabinets + fixtures, and some unattractive backsplash tile. We did not have to totally gut this kitchen but, we did need to make some cosmetic changes to the space. See the before + after photo (taken from the same spot) below. We painted the walls + peninsula white, added shelving, demoed the original backsplash and replaced it with marble subway + geometric tiles, replaced the pendant lighting, painted the wood cabinets BM Snowfall White, and replaced the hardware with brass pulls. It was a process and we are very happy with the new look. It is amazing what paint can do to a space right?

To finish up the lower level I also wanted to share our outdoor space with you. During the house hunt, it was important for us to find a place with an outdoor entertaining space. This deck is perfect for relaxing + entertaining.
