Welcome to week No. 5! This One Room Challenge has gone by incredibly fast–I cannot believe we are already planning our little photo shoot. If you are just stopping by make sure to catch up and see what we have accomplished so far (Week No. 1, Week No. 2, Week No. 3, Week No. 4). This week was all about accessories, my favorite part of the design process. I had a lot of fun accessorizing this space. Above, you can see that we are using the Kelly Wearstler Feline fabric, in black, mixed with a few Stone Textile pieces for pillows.
The brush stroke duvet cover from ORC sponsor Wayfair
is incredible in person. I also picked up our custom curtains and hung them this week, I am so glad I went with this deep turquoise color opposed to black. The beaded pillow + decorative box is from Home Goods + the copper woven mini pillow is from our Stone Textile shop.
I also picked up our little vintage brass stool from the upholsterer –the pop of blue will be really nice against the darker curtains.
Our marble planters are planted and ready to go for the photo shoot. Lets hope I don’t kill them before the weekend. Love the marble against the B+W Storm Wallpaper by Lindsay Cowels.
We said goodbye to the huge ceiling fan and replaced it with this beautiful Jonathan Adler fixture from ORC sponsor, Lamps Plus. SUCH. A. DIFFERENCE.
The black diamond shaped mirror was hung as well…
My assistant, Audrey, completed yet another perfect DIY project. We used the extra wallpaper to spruce up the vintage armoire. I love the rich brown with the black + white pattern.
Make sure to check out what everyone else has accomplished this week! You can also follow along on Instagram using #oneroomchallenge
